How customers opt in and what to expect

Lizzy Connect is an SMS self-service program operated by Leviathan Consulting Group LLC on behalf of enrolled outdoor power equipment (OPE) dealers. Through it, a participating dealer's customers can order parts, schedule service, and troubleshoot equipment by text message - using the same phone number they already call for service.

How customers opt in

Customers opt in through a single workflow:

  1. At the point of sale or service, the dealer asks whether the customer would like to use the SMS self-service program and records the customer's consent along with their mobile number.
  2. After consent is captured, the customer receives a one-time welcome text from the dealer's number. It identifies the dealer, describes the service (order parts, schedule service, and troubleshoot equipment by text), states that message frequency varies, notes that message and data rates may apply, includes "Reply HELP for help" and "Reply STOP to opt out," and links to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  3. The customer confirms enrollment by replying YES (START and JOIN are also accepted). No further messages are sent unless the customer replies to confirm.

What to expect

  • Message types: transactional and service-related messages only (parts orders, service scheduling, troubleshooting, and related confirmations).
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.

We do not sell, rent, or share customer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are used only to deliver the messages described above.

Sample welcome message: "Hi [Customer]! Thank you for being a valued [Dealer] customer. We've launched a new service that lets you order parts, schedule service or troubleshoot your equipment - all via text message to this number. Msg&Data Rates May Apply. Msg freq varies. Reply HELP for help. Reply YES to opt in or STOP to opt out."
